Cayamo Cruise - February 18, 2008

We went on an amazing cruise this month - a "Journey Through Song" hosted by Sixthman and Carnival cruiselines. The cruise featured many of our favorite musicans including Lyle Lovett, Emmyou Harris, John Hiatt. Patty Griffin, Shawn colvin and the amazing Buddy Miller...and many others. It was truly unforgettable. We also met a number of really nice folks that we will never forget. Here we are doing an Open Mic show during the cruise. Thanks to Ari Hest for his very kind words of encouragement!

"Gospel Of The Heart" - April 15, 2006

Buck and Patrice are working on a new project...a stripped down CD containing originals and cover tunes that feature Appalachian style themes and harmonies. It's what we love and what we do best.

We have a few samples of what we have so far in the Music section of this website. We recorded it with an MAudio Microtrack handheld (borrowed from Mike Graves of Osiris Studio...thanks Mike) at my Mom's house...just the two of us with Buck's guitar. It's very live...but we're hoping the flaws make it sound "authentically approximate" as our friend Jack would say. Anyhow,,,,we'd love to hear what you think Write us a note in our Guestbook!

Fiddlers Grove Coming Up - Memorial Day Weekend - April 10, 2006

Buck and I are really looking forward to heading back to Union Grove for the 80-zillionth annual Fiddlers Convention. We were fortunate enough to attend last year with Hal Beaver and friends, and we wouldn't miss it this year for the world. We'll be car camping out there under Marlin Brackett's big blue tent..come on out and bring the kids.

Hal Beaver and Friends at NPR Studios in DC! - January 27, 2006

Hal Beaver is a national treasure and a friend of ours who created a unique style of music he calls "Blackgrass." You may have caught him at one of his shows at Northside Tavern or an Avondale festival, or seen him at a Buck Buckley Band show. We're very excited to report that Hal will be recording a CD at NPR Studios in Washington next week, supported by several fine musicians such as Marlin Brackett, Jonathan Adams of The Aerials, and the fabulous Jack Brantley. Hal will also be supported by the vocals of his talented and beautiful daughter, Lissy Beaver. Lissy is a member of the group Rosemont Family Reunion http://www.rosemontfamilyreunion.com that is currently topping the college charts. Buck won't be able to make it to DC due to his intensive studies, but Patrice might get to do a few backing vocals. There will also be a gig Saturday night, Feb 4th in Chinatown. If you're in DC, come on by!
